New Hope and Lambertville Launch Culinary Showcase for Food Lovers
Food enthusiasts can look forward to a two-week culinary extravaganza as New Hope, Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey, prepare to host the 2nd Annual New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week from January 12 to January 25, 2024. This event unites over two dozen restaurants, cafes, bars, and eateries on both sides of the Delaware River, attracting visitors from the tri-state region.
A Celebration of Culinary Excellence
The restaurant week features specially priced prix fixe lunch and dinner menus ranging from $25 to $55, showcasing signature dishes and exclusive off-menu creations designed specifically for the event. Organized by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce, this initiative highlights the vibrant culinary identity shared by these two neighboring towns, renowned for their walkable streets, historic charm, and diverse dining options.
On the Pennsylvania side, participating restaurants include Birds Nest Bar & Grille, Black Bass Hotel, Ferry + Main Restaurant, and OldeStone Steakhouse, among others. The New Jersey contingent features establishments such as Broadmoor Osteria Italiana, Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, and Pru Thai, with additional participants expected to be announced.
Menus at these venues will offer three-course prix fixe options, reflecting each restaurant’s unique culinary style and seasonal ingredients. Diners can anticipate a range of experiences, from casual comfort food to fine dining, complemented by curated wine lists, cocktails, and desserts.
Supporting Local Businesses
Michael Sklar, president of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week is the best of both worlds. It is a win-win for foodies and culinary enthusiasts from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.” He emphasized that the event allows diners to enjoy the best offerings of both towns in a single outing.
Carolyn Gadbois, vice president of the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce, underscored the importance of this initiative during a traditionally slower time for restaurants. “Dining out during January can have a profound impact on our restaurants by keeping them steady,” she remarked. “By collaborating on this initiative, both chambers recognize the value of our unique restaurants and how their success strengthens the entire River Valley.”
As preparations continue, organizers are posting menus, hours, pricing, and reservation details daily on their respective websites: www.visitnewhope.com/restaurant-week and www.lambertvillechamber.com. They encourage diners to secure reservations early and explore local shops, galleries, and attractions before or after their meals.
This restaurant week is a joint effort by Visit New Hope and Explore Lambertville, reinforcing the towns’ shared reputation as premier food and tourism destinations in the region. With a diverse lineup of culinary offerings, the event promises to be a highlight for both locals and visitors alike.
