Lindsay Arnold’s Future with Dancing With the Stars Remains Uncertain
Former professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars, Lindsay Arnold, has clarified her stance on returning to the popular ABC competition series. As she approaches her 32nd birthday, Arnold remains focused on her family life, which includes her two daughters, Sage, aged 5, and June, aged 2, rather than making a comeback to the ballroom.
Arnold stepped away from the show after its 30th season in 2021. Since then, she has dedicated her time to raising her children, although she has continued to engage with the show from the sidelines. She has openly supported her sister, Rylee Arnold, who is currently a contestant. Despite this connection, fans should not expect her to return to the competition in the near future.
Family Comes First
In November 2025, Arnold and her husband, Sam Cusick, announced they are expecting another child, with a baby boy due in June 2026. This new addition to their family is a significant factor influencing her decision to remain away from the show. While some professional dancers, like Daniella Karagach, have successfully returned shortly after childbirth, many, including Arnold and fellow pro Witney Carson, have chosen to take a break following the arrival of a new baby.
In a candid TikTok video from August 2025, Arnold expressed her commitment to family life. “My reasons for not doing the show feel even more relevant than they did in the past,” she stated. She emphasized the importance of being home for her daughters, who have a busy schedule ahead. “I just know that I’m exactly where I need to be and where I should be,” she added.
Future Speculations and Industry Insights
Despite ongoing speculation regarding her potential return, Arnold has made it clear that she is not waiting for a specific offer or contract negotiations to dictate her decision. In a 2024 episode of the Lightweights podcast, she remarked, “I honestly don’t know, I get asked this so often, and I really don’t have an answer.”
Arnold highlighted that her choice is based on personal feelings rather than external pressures. “It’s not about that in the slightest,” she explained, indicating that her priorities currently lie with her family rather than professional commitments.
As Arnold continues to focus on her children and growing family, her fans will have to wait to see if she will ever return to the dance floor. For now, her absence from Dancing With the Stars appears to be a thoughtful decision driven by her desire to nurture her young family during these formative years.
