Jacques Pépin Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to Manna NOW
UPDATE: The Jacques Pépin Foundation has just awarded a vital $10,000 grant to Manna, a leading organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable populations through culinary education. This announcement marks a significant boost for Manna’s Culinary Training Program, which supports low-income adults and at-risk youths by providing essential job skills and workforce placement.
Manna is one of only 20 recipients selected for the Winter 2026 Grant cycle, showcasing its impactful work in the community. The grant will directly fund critical resources, including a culinary instructor’s salary, chef uniforms, knife bags, and curriculum enhancements. Importantly, this funding will also help maintain student stipends, which are crucial for both enrollment and retention in the program.
In addition to the financial support, Manna will receive JPF branded aprons for its students and a group membership to the Foundation, further enriching the students’ learning experience. Founded in 2016 by the Pépin family, the Jacques Pépin Foundation aims to strengthen communities through the transformative power of culinary arts.
Manna’s program not only equips individuals with practical skills but also instills confidence and fosters community ties. The organization is committed to uplifting those in need, making this grant an essential lifeline as the demand for culinary training continues to grow.
The Jacques Pépin Foundation invites community-based culinary arts programs to apply for grants twice a year, with the next round of applications opening in February. For more details and application information, visit jp.foundation.
This grant is a testament to the importance of culinary education in empowering individuals and transforming lives. As Manna moves forward with this funding, the impact on the community will be significant and enduring, making it a story worth sharing widely.
