BREAKING: Orbell Hall, a cherished resident of Decorah, has passed away at the age of 104. Hall died on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Barthell Eastern Star, leaving behind a legacy that touched many lives in the community.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Helms Funeral Home, located at 306 E. Water Street, Decorah. The service will be presided over by Rev Randy Kittelson. Following the service, Hall will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation for friends and family is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins on Thursday at Helms Funeral Home. This is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the remarkable life of Orbell Hall.
