The Grateful Garment Project (TGGP) has announced that Star One Credit Union and Signature Roofing will serve as the first Platinum Sponsors for its upcoming fundraising event, DigniTea 2025. This year’s event will take place on October 25, 2025, in San Jose, California, aiming to support survivors of sexual violence across the state.

The partnership between these community-focused organizations underscores a collective commitment to restore dignity and hope for victims. “We are deeply grateful to have both Star One and Signature Roofing leading the way as our first Platinum Sponsors,” stated Marica Rendall, Board Vice President of TGGP and Co-Chair of DigniTea 2025. “Their generosity and community spirit ensure we can continue providing the essential clothing, comfort, and care survivors deserve.”

Community Support and Commitment

Star One Credit Union, a financial institution dedicated to community empowerment, has a long history of supporting organizations that promote well-being and safety. “At Star One, our mission has always been to strengthen the communities we serve,” said Javier Ortega-Lopez, Branch Manager. “Contributing to The Grateful Garment Project’s mission allows us to make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors in a deeply human way.”

Signature Roofing is similarly committed to enhancing community safety and security. Known for its craftsmanship and integrity, the company emphasizes its duty to protect those in need. “Our work is about protection—building roofs that keep individuals and families safe and secure,” said William E. Cotter, Owner of Signature Roofing. “Supporting The Grateful Garment Project extends that purpose beyond our worksites, helping survivors of sexual violence find safety and a sense of home again.”

Details of DigniTea 2025 Event

The DigniTea 2025 fundraiser will feature an afternoon of tea, food, and community engagement, all aimed at supporting survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking. This year’s event is themed “GAME ON! Sideline Human Sexual Trafficking & Sexual Violence” and will take place at the Los Altos United Methodist Church from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The theme reflects the pressing need for awareness and action as the Bay Area prepares for major global sporting events, including Super Bowl LX and the FIFA World Cup 2026, periods when the risk of exploitation may increase.

Every ticket sold—priced at $65—will help TGGP provide essential items such as clothing, hygiene products, and care kits to survivors, facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation. Tickets can be purchased through the organization’s official site at https://charityauction.bid/DigniTea2025.

The Grateful Garment Project, founded in 2011, has dedicated itself to ensuring that no victim of sexual violence is sent home in a hospital gown. It provides immediate access to clean clothing, hygiene products, footwear, and other necessities. Through partnerships with nearly 100 agencies across 45 counties, TGGP aims to meet urgent needs while promoting long-term healing and prevention.

As the event approaches, TGGP invites the community to join Team DigniTea 2025 in raising awareness and showing compassion to those affected by sexual violence and trafficking. Together, they can work towards a future where every survivor feels valued and supported.
