Needville Harvest Festival Committee Hosts Food Drive on Dec. 9
The Needville Harvest Festival Committee, in collaboration with Needville Financial, is organizing a food and cash drive on December 9, 2023. This event will take place at Harvest Park/Don Wenzel Memorial Park from 15:00 to 18:30. The drive aims to collect nonperishable food items as well as monetary donations to support local families during the holiday season.
Participants can contribute nonperishable food items, along with cash or checks made out to the Needville Ministerial Alliance. The funds raised will specifically be used to purchase hams for the food baskets distributed as part of the NMA Christmas Food and Gift Distribution. Additionally, toys collected during this initiative will go towards the Needville Blue Santa program, which aims to provide gifts to children in the community.
For those unable to attend the drive-thru event, food donations will also be accepted at Needville Financial, located at 16134 SH 36, until December 8. This allows the community ample opportunity to contribute to this important cause.
Interested individuals can obtain more information by contacting Chris Janicek at 281-468-9314 or Debby Wendt at 281-239-5809. The Needville Harvest Festival Committee encourages community participation to ensure a successful collection that will benefit families in need this holiday season.
