Terry Bradshaw Updates Fans on Health After Absence from FOX NFL Sunday
Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw provided a reassuring health update following his unexpected absence from the FOX NFL Sunday program last week. The 77-year-old broadcaster revealed through an Instagram post that the illness preventing his participation was merely a cold, and he has since resumed public appearances.
In his message, Bradshaw stated, “Just in case you notice, won’t be on Fox today. Just have a cold. All good.” His absence during the Week 11 coverage raised concerns among fans and colleagues, prompting Curt Menefee, the host of the show, to address it during the broadcast. Menefee explained, “You may notice there is Howie Long and Michael Strahan and that Terry Bradshaw is not with us. He came to work sick this morning. So he decided to go home not feeling well. We send him our love.”
Bradshaw, who has been a cornerstone of FOX NFL Sunday since its inception, is expected to make his return to the program this week. His long-standing presence on the show marks his 32nd straight season as a broadcaster. The former quarterback has dealt with various health challenges in recent years, including a battle with bladder cancer in 2021 and Merkel cell skin cancer in 2022.
Despite these past struggles, his current condition appears stable, and he reassured fans of his well-being. The public’s concern for Bradshaw reflects not only his status as a sports icon but also the affection many have for his engaging personality on television. As he prepares to return to screens, fans and colleagues alike look forward to seeing him back in action.
