Urgent Crime Reports: Multiple Arrests and Crashes in Great Bend
UPDATE: A surge in criminal activity and vehicle incidents has been reported in Great Bend, Kansas, over the past 48 hours. The Great Bend Police and Fire/EMS responded to numerous calls, including several thefts, assaults, and multiple non-injury crashes, raising community concerns.
On November 19, 2025, Great Bend Emergency Medical Service recorded eight ambulance runs, though thankfully no fires were reported. The police logged significant incidents throughout the day, including a battery reported at 2:20 a.m. at 1700 Monroe and a theft at 7:15 p.m. from Great Wall Super Buffet located at 4705 10th St..
The series of incidents continued into November 20, with a theft of stereo equipment occurring at 7:14 a.m. at 5210 10th St. A notable two-vehicle injury crash was reported at 2:11 p.m. at Zip Stop on 3620 10th St., heightening the urgency for traffic safety measures.
Authorities confirmed multiple arrests linked to driving violations. On November 19, Daniel Carrasco was booked for driving under the influence (third offense) and improper driving, with a bond set at $40,000. Additionally, Brandy D. Lancaster faced charges for DUI and driving while suspended, also with a bond of $40,000.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to various incidents, including a fatal crash at 8:56 p.m. at the intersection of NW K-95 and NW 30 Ave.. This tragic event underscores the pressing need for community awareness regarding road safety.
In a developing situation, police executed multiple warrant arrests at the Barton County Detention Center. Reports indicate that a criminal threat was made at 4:27 p.m. at All Seasons Mobile Home Park, raising concerns about neighborhood safety.
As of November 20, the community remains on alert. A K-9 unit was deployed to assist in an outside agency callout at NE K-156, mile marker 147, signaling a collaborative law enforcement effort against rising crime.
