Sowega Council on Aging’s Public Hearing Set for Tuesday at 9 AM

UPDATE: The Sowega Council on Aging is set to host an urgent public hearing on October 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. at the SCOA Regional Resource Center located at 335 W. Society Avenue in Albany. Community members are invited to contribute to critical discussions impacting older adults and caregivers in the region.
This public hearing presents a vital opportunity for seniors, at-risk adults, caregivers, and the general public to voice their insights and feedback. The input gathered will directly inform the planning and programming of the Sowega Council on Aging as they strive to enhance support for seniors aiming to lead safe, independent, and meaningful lives.
Izzie Sadler, executive director of the Sowega Council on Aging, emphasized the importance of community engagement, stating,
“The public hearing is a vital time for us to listen directly to the voices of our community so we can better respond to the needs of those we serve.”
This year’s discussions will focus on the themes of living longer, living safely, and living well. Those unable to attend in person can still participate by submitting feedback through an online form accessible at https://sowegacoa.wufoo.com/forms/m1l8g26007oz4a3/.
