Fort Worth Hosts Urgent CANstruction Event to Combat Hunger

UPDATE: The 27th annual CANstruction Fort Worth Exhibition kicks off today, September 28, at North East Mall, featuring a unique theme: ‘When Cans Attack.’ This exciting event showcases the creativity of eight local teams, including architects, engineers, and students, who will construct impressive structures entirely from canned food to raise awareness for hunger in North Texas.
DEVELOPING: Starting today and running until October 12, visitors can view these massive, artful creations and participate in a crucial voting process. Each vote costs $5, directly benefiting the Tarrant Area Food Bank, which supports families in need across 13 counties in North Texas. Voting is open until October 8, allowing the community to engage meaningfully in the fight against hunger.
Each structure built from these cans will not only serve as a visual spectacle but also contribute to a vital cause. The canned foods used in these incredible displays will be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank after the exhibition concludes, providing nourishment to children, families, and seniors struggling with hunger in our community.
To cast your vote, scan the QR code displayed at each structure throughout the mall. This innovative approach not only encourages participation but also raises funds for those in dire need of assistance.
