Cloud backup and recovery specialist Keepit has launched a new global channel organization aimed at strengthening its partner-first strategy. This initiative is designed to enhance growth through a more cohesive ecosystem of partners, as the company endeavors to become “the most partner-friendly organization in the world.”

The revamped team will be guided by Jan Ursi, who has been appointed as the global vice president of channels. He will oversee three regional leaders responsible for Northern Europe, Southern Europe, and the Americas. Ursi’s mandate includes developing global strategy, messaging, and collaboration across all regions, ensuring alignment in partner recruitment, enablement, and pipeline initiatives to support a channel-led go-to-market approach.

“At Keepit, being partner-friendly isn’t just a slogan — it’s our culture,” Ursi stated. He emphasized that the company aims to empower partners with essential tools, knowledge, and support, fostering relationships grounded in trust rather than mere transactions. “Our mission is simple: make unlimited SaaS data protection accessible everywhere through simplicity, independence, and a culture of partnership,” he added.

Regional Leadership and Strategy

The leadership structure includes Alex Walsh, who will oversee Northern Europe, encompassing the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Central Eastern Europe, and Benelux. With over 12 years of experience in SaaS and channel leadership roles at companies like Veeam and AppSense, Walsh will serve as the regional vice president of channel for EMEA North. His focus will be on expanding tier-one VAR, MSP, and distributor relationships.

“We’re focused on building strong, valuable partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes for customers and partners alike,” Walsh explained. He noted that this involves implementing clear programs, consistent execution, and close collaboration with partners eager to scale alongside Keepit.

In Southern Europe and the DACH region, Cyril VanAgt has been appointed as the regional vice president of channel for EMEA South. VanAgt, who brings extensive channel expertise from roles at Nutanix and NetApp, will concentrate on driving rapid ecosystem growth through tailored partner campaigns, PR-driven launches, and the structured Partner Academy program. His goal is to expand the channel team in DACH and enhance the distribution strategy.

“Our aim is to create an ecosystem of fans and trusted advisors — partners who are confident in our technology, connected to our teams, and excited to grow with us,” VanAgt remarked.

Leading Keepit’s efforts in the Americas is Jill Miracle, who will serve as the director of channels for the region. Miracle’s focus will be on maintaining momentum with key partners and reinforcing the company’s partner-only model. “We’re committed to supporting their growth with strong enablement, clear communication, and joint marketing that helps them win,” she stated.

Streamlined Engagement and Future Plans

The newly consolidated partner structure is designed to simplify engagement for partners, enabling them to build pipelines and scale their delivery with a repeatable model. Keepit has announced plans to enhance partner recruitment efforts in 2026 and expand certification opportunities while deepening joint marketing initiatives across priority markets.

“The conditions are in place to build an exceptional partner-friendly organization — probably the most partner-friendly company of the next decade,” Ursi remarked. He emphasized that partners are pivotal to the company’s success, helping to amplify efforts and broaden Keepit’s reach globally.

By implementing this cohesive strategy, Keepit aims to solidify its commitment to partners, ensuring mutual growth and success in an increasingly competitive landscape.
