Italian Model Pamela Genini Murdered, Ex-Partner Charged

Italian model Pamela Genini, aged 29, was found dead in her Milan apartment on the evening of October 14, 2023, after allegedly being stabbed 24 times by her former partner, Gianluca Soncin, aged 52. Reports indicate that the tragic incident occurred during a violent confrontation between the two.
Neighbors reported hearing screams and desperate cries for help coming from Genini’s apartment. Some attempted to intervene, claiming they “tried to break in” to assist her. Witnesses described seeing Soncin drag Genini onto the third-floor balcony, where the attack took place. According to local newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano, Genini was reportedly on a call with another former partner when she encountered Soncin inside her home, having gained access with a copied key.
Upon realizing Soncin was there, the second ex-partner dialed emergency services. Just moments before the police arrived, Genini answered the intercom, falsely identifying herself as a delivery person from the service Glovo in an apparent attempt to deceive her attacker. Tragically, by the time authorities forced entry into the apartment, Genini had already sustained fatal injuries.
Reports from Il Giorno indicate that the confrontation escalated from an argument, resulting in Genini suffering multiple stab wounds to her neck, back, chest, upper limbs, and hands. Despite the rapid response from emergency services, she succumbed to her injuries.
As police arrived, Soncin allegedly turned the knife on himself, inflicting two cuts to his throat. He is currently receiving medical treatment at Milan’s Niguarda hospital, where his condition is reported as stable but non-life-threatening. Soncin now faces serious charges, including murder aggravated by stalking, premeditation, and femicide. He has chosen to exercise his right to remain silent during the investigation.
Information provided by authorities suggests that Genini and Soncin’s relationship had deteriorated prior to the incident. Reports from ANSA note that the couple was still involved, but Genini was planning to end the relationship after more than a year together. Testimonies from friends and family allege that Soncin had been stalking Genini and had a history of physical abuse and threats against her.
Before her untimely death, Genini enjoyed a successful modeling career, featuring in high-fashion campaigns in Milan. She co-founded the swimwear brand SheLux and was involved in the luxury real estate sector. Additionally, she appeared on the Italian reality dating show The Island of Adam and Eve.
