Ben Shapiro Slams Tucker Carlson as Conservative Fraud at AmericaFest
UPDATE: Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has launched a scathing attack on Tucker Carlson, labeling him a “fraud” during his speech at AmericaFest 2025 in Phoenix on December 18, 2025. Shapiro criticized Carlson for giving a platform to controversial figures, undermining the integrity of the conservative movement.
In an urgent address at the Turning Point USA conference, Shapiro stated, “Today the conservative movement is in serious danger, not just from the left but from charlatans who claim to speak in the name of principle.” His remarks reflect a growing concern among conservatives regarding the influence of divisive personalities within their ranks.
Shapiro did not hold back, specifically calling out Carlson and Candace Owens for perpetuating conspiracy theories and spreading misinformation. “These people are frauds, and they are grifters,” he declared, emphasizing the need for accountability within the conservative community.
“The fact that they have said nothing while Candace has been vomiting all sorts of hideous and conspiratorial nonsense… is just cowardly,” Shapiro insisted.
While acknowledging that Carlson was scheduled to speak later that night, Shapiro accused him of “lazy, stupid and misleading” tactics for implying insider knowledge without providing evidence. He stated, “Just asking questions is something my five-year-old does… they are lying to you.”
Shapiro urged Carlson to take responsibility for platforming controversial guests, including Nick Fuentes, a known white nationalist. He warned that elevating such figures damages the conservative cause. “Building him up is an act of moral imbecility,” Shapiro stated, referencing Carlson’s past interviews with Fuentes.
The tension between Shapiro and Carlson highlights a significant rift within the conservative movement as it grapples with its identity and direction. Shapiro’s comments come at a pivotal moment, just a day after he criticized Carlson during an event at the Heritage Foundation.
“A conservatism that treats Tucker Carlson as a thought leader is no conservatism,” Shapiro declared, emphasizing the urgency for conservatives to draw clear lines against divisive figures.
As the fallout from Shapiro’s remarks continues, the question remains: will Carlson respond to these accusations, and what impact will this have on the future of the conservative movement?
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, as tensions rise within the conservative community and the implications of these accusations unfold.
