BREAKING: A tragic early morning crash on the southbound 5 Freeway in Boyle Heights has left 1 person dead and 15 others injured, authorities confirm. The collision occurred just south of 4th Street around 5 a.m. on Sunday, prompting immediate response from emergency services.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a semi-truck collided with multiple vehicles, resulting in significant devastation. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that 15 individuals were assessed for injuries.
