UPDATE: Scott Wolf and his estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, faced off in a tense court hearing today in Utah, just days after Kelley exited rehab following a brief stay. The proceedings unfolded this morning, with Scott seeking a protective order against Kelley, who has been embroiled in legal issues since her arrest for leaking his personal information online.

The 57-year-old actor and his 48-year-old wife appeared before a judge, but the lack of legal representation for Kelley stalled the ruling on a full restraining order. Court minutes obtained by Us Weekly revealed that Kelley must now have her attorney submit a letter to the court to proceed. Following this, Scott will be required to pay for her lawyer’s retainer, estimated at $500,000.

According to the judge’s ruling, certain conditions from a previous protective order remain in effect. Kelley is prohibited from contacting Scott and their three children—Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 1—and must maintain a distance of at least 300 feet from Scott. However, sources indicate that the couple may communicate via phone regarding their children’s welfare, although responses are not mandatory.

“The best interests of the children come first,” reported a source from People, highlighting a shift in their communication dynamics amid an ongoing custody battle.

The next hearing is scheduled for October 26, 2023, where Kelley must present legal representation. This latest development follows Kelley’s recent admission that she checked out of rehab after only two days, citing a need for support in managing post-traumatic stress disorder rather than addiction treatment.

Authorities note that Scott was granted temporary sole custody of the children on August 26, following Kelley’s arrest and subsequent charges for electronic disclosure of personal information. These serious allegations arose after she allegedly shared Scott’s phone number and private text messages with followers on social media.

In a previous court appearance, Kelley expressed optimism about her rehab experience, stating, “I’m looking forward to it. My brother is taking me. It’s fantastic.” She was ordered to abstain from alcohol and other controlled substances unless prescribed.

As the legal battle continues, the emotional toll on both parties and their children is palpable. Scott has accused Kelley of making “disturbing false” claims against him, further complicating their already strained relationship.

With escalating tensions and a custody battle at the forefront, all eyes are on the upcoming court date. The outcome could significantly impact not only Scott and Kelley but also their children as they navigate this challenging family crisis.

As this situation develops, updates will follow regarding court rulings and their implications on the Wolf family.

Reps for both Scott and Kelley have yet to respond to inquiries for comment on today’s court proceedings.
