A tragic wrong-way collision on Interstate 15 resulted in three fatalities on Sunday, March 10, 2024, approximately 120 miles north of Las Vegas. The incident occurred around 17:15 in the northbound lanes near St. George, according to a press release issued by the Utah Department of Public Safety.

A woman in her 90s entered the highway traveling in the wrong direction and collided head-on with a Toyota SUV. The impact was devastating, leading to the deaths of the car’s sole occupant and two individuals in the SUV. Authorities confirmed that two additional passengers from the SUV sustained injuries but were able to survive the crash. They were subsequently airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Details regarding the identities of the victims and the circumstances surrounding the crash have not been disclosed. Investigations are ongoing as law enforcement seeks to understand the factors that led to this tragic event.
