Teen Singer Carly Green to Open 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show
A 14-year-old singer, Carly Green from Schuylkill County, will perform the National Anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show on January 10, 2026. Green secured her spot after winning fan voting in the statewide “Oh, Say Can You Sing?” contest, as announced by state agriculture officials.
The contest attracted significant participation this year, with 85 qualified entries, more than double the number from the previous year. According to Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, a panel of judges selected 25 finalists, who then competed for public votes via social media. “Each year, the Farm Show begins with voices that remind us of who we are and what we’re growing toward,” Redding stated, emphasizing the connection between the winners and the communities supporting Pennsylvania agriculture.

Organizers anticipate that over one million square feet of exhibits will provide hands-on agricultural education while highlighting the significance of Pennsylvania’s $132.5 billion agriculture industry.
