London Woman Charged for Escalator Misuse at Railway Station
A woman is facing legal action after allegedly walking the “wrong way” on an escalator at a railway station in London. Michaela Copeland, 32, has been charged with the offence, which took place on the TFL regional railway network in Greenwich on November 27, 2023. The charge states that Copeland “used or attempted to use an escalator other than by standing or walking on it in the direction intended for travel.”
Details regarding the specific direction in which Copeland was allegedly walking remain unclear.
