Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 34 Palestinians, according to health officials in Gaza. On Sunday, Israel announced a temporary pause in military operations in designated areas for 10 hours daily, aimed at facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid. The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that in the last 24 hours, 14 Palestinians have died from malnutrition-related causes in the Gaza Strip. Among these fatalities are two children, which raises the total number of child deaths linked to malnutrition in the region to 88 since the onset of the conflict on October 7, 2023. The ministry also noted that since July, when it began tracking adult malnutrition deaths, 59 adults have succumbed to similar causes across Gaza.
The alarming rise in deaths due to malnutrition underscores the critical condition of many families in the area, where food scarcity has reached unprecedented levels.
