UPDATE: Two men from Salisbury are now facing serious charges in the shocking homicide of Xzavion Tyleal Booker, a 19-year-old teen from Lexington, who was found dead in June. Sejimarion Stiller, 28, and Tomanche Jackson, 27, were arrested on July 7 and again on September 15, 2023, as the investigation intensifies.

The incident unfolded on June 7 at approximately 1:45 a.m. when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Jessup Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Booker inside an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The tragic event has sparked outrage and fear within the community, prompting an urgent police investigation.

According to Captain Luke Davis of the Lexington Police Department, initial findings indicated a home invasion had taken place. Following the discovery, detectives worked tirelessly, collecting evidence that ultimately led to Stiller’s arrest on a charge of felony accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. He was released on a $50,000 bond but was soon back in custody as detectives continued their work.

In a significant development, both Stiller and Jackson were charged with first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of kidnapping, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They are currently being held without bond, reflecting the gravity of the charges against them.

The Lexington Police Department is collaborating with the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation as the investigation remains active.
