SRTC-Tifton Honors Ten Graduates in Urgent Pinning Ceremony

URGENT UPDATE: On July 24, 2025, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) held a momentous pinning ceremony at SRTC-Tifton, celebrating the achievements of ten graduating students from its Surgical Technology program. This event marks a pivotal milestone for these graduates as they prepare to enter the healthcare workforce.
The graduates, including Kaitlyn Classon from Meigs and Jacara Hayes from Thomasville, completed extensive coursework and clinical rotations crucial for their future roles in surgical settings. Each student has now earned an associate degree in surgical technology and is eligible to take the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
This program is designed to equip students for vital careers within operating rooms, teaching essential skills such as preparing surgical environments and assisting surgeons during operations.
Gina Chambers, the Surgical Technology Program Chair, expressed pride in the graduates, stating,
