UPDATE: Online entry has officially opened for the highly anticipated SpeedFest 2026, taking place at Cordele Motor Speedway on January 23-24, 2026. With just one month to go, racing enthusiasts are gearing up for this thrilling season-opening event that promises to showcase the best short track competitors in the nation.
The weekend will feature intense competition from the ASA Southern Super Series for Super Late Models and the Southern Pro Series for Pro Late Models. Additionally, fans can expect to see action from INEX Legends and Bandoleros, creating a packed four-division racing lineup.
On-track activities kick off with an optional open test day on Thursday, January 22, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Practice and qualifying for all divisions will occur on Friday, January 23, with Feature racing scheduled for Saturday, January 24, starting at 1:00 PM. This is a must-see event for motorsport fans, marking the 21st running of SpeedFest, an event that has become synonymous with the start of the racing season.
SpeedFest has a storied history, dating back to its debut in 2005 at USA International Speedway. It moved to Lanier Speedway in 2009 before finding its home at Cordele Motor Speedway in 2012. Over the years, the event has been a launching pad for numerous racing legends, including Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, and Bubba Pollard, who has dominated the event in recent years with four consecutive victories.
The addition of the Pro Late Model class in 2009 has further enriched the event’s legacy, featuring winners such as John Hunter Nemechek and Casey Roderick.
