SolTrans Announces Urgent Holiday Service Changes for December
UPDATE: SolTrans has just announced critical changes to its holiday service schedules, impacting transit operations for Christmas and New Year’s. Riders are urged to plan ahead as services will be limited during this festive season.
Starting on Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25 and New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1, SolTrans Local, Solano Express, and Paratransit services will NOT operate. In addition, on Christmas Eve – Wednesday, December 24 and New Year’s Eve – Wednesday, December 31, services will follow a Saturday schedule, meaning there will be no operations for local school tripper routes 15, 17, 38, and the Solano Express Green Line and Route 82.
Following the holiday period, starting on Sunday, January 4, SolTrans will implement minor adjustments to select Local and Solano Express routes. Notably, the use of onboard paper transfers will be discontinued, prompting riders to utilize the Clipper card for all transfer discounts.
“As we wrap up another year of service, I want to sincerely thank our riders for choosing SolTrans and for being such an important part of our community,” said Beth Kranda, Executive Director of SolTrans. She emphasized the agency’s gratitude for the riders’ patience and feedback as they work on a Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA) aimed at redesigning the system for enhanced reliability and accessibility.
