Solano College Volleyball Dominates Yuba in League Opener
UPDATE: The Solano College women’s volleyball team has officially kicked off their 2025 season with a commanding victory over Yuba College, winning in three straight sets: 25-12, 25-20, 25-17. This victory marks their remarkable 70th consecutive win in the Bay Valley Conference, cementing their dominance in the league.
Kaylie Reyes led the charge for the Falcons, delivering an impressive performance with 17 kills, 10 digs, and 11 assists. Lilli Mass contributed significantly with nine kills and a block, while Aliyah Aguiar showcased her skills with eight kills without a single error, alongside a perfect service record of 3-3 that included an ace.
Giana Guintu also shined, racking up seven kills, 24 assists, and eight digs, serving 15-16 with an ace. Makenzie Lovell further solidified the team’s success with her serving, completing 15-17 with three aces. With this win, Solano College improves to 10-11 overall for the season.
The Falcons have a storied history in the Bay Valley Conference, having finished last season with an impressive 26-6 overall record and a perfect 10-0 in conference play. This victory is just the beginning, as they look to extend their winning streak and capture their eighth straight BVC title.
