The New York Police Department (NYPD) reports that the incident occurred on October 16, 2023, around 2:20 p.m. local time, and the suspects are still at large as of today, October 28, 2023.
The robbery unfolded when three men, disguised in construction attire, broke through the back door of a private residence near 160th Street and 84th Drive. The thieves made off with a safe containing high-value jewelry, leaving no injuries in their wake. The motive for the robbery remains unclear.
Authorities describe the suspects as follows: two of the men wore black sweatshirts, black pants, and neon construction jackets, while the getaway driver was seen in a white hoodie, black pants, and gray sneakers.
