Red Bluff Rotary Names Collin Fletcher Student of the Month
UPDATE: The Red Bluff Rotary Club has just announced Collin Fletcher as its Student of the Month for October 2023, recognizing his exceptional academic performance and community spirit. This honor was revealed during a special meeting held earlier today at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge.
Fletcher, a junior at Red Bluff High School, has garnered attention for his impressive achievements, including multiple awards in mathematics and a keen interest in pursuing a career as a forensic pathologist and criminologist. His passion for crime, science, and music sets him apart as a multifaceted student.
According to Leandro Vasquez, a math department teacher and leadership advisor, Fletcher is a standout student who embodies respect and hard work. “Collin is a phenomenal student who is respectful, hardworking, and supportive of those around him,” Vasquez stated. “He consistently comes prepared, takes thorough notes, and completes his work.”
Vasquez also praised Fletcher’s maturity, noting, “He knows how to advocate for himself when he needs help and does so in a thoughtful, responsible way.” This praise reflects Fletcher’s positive impact on the classroom environment.
Another faculty member, Taylor Richardson, echoed these sentiments, highlighting Fletcher’s excellence in her class and his role as a model student. “He is a great student as well as a person,” Richardson remarked.
In addition to the recognition, each honored student receives a framed certificate and a check for $100 during the monthly ceremony. The next recognition event will occur on the second Tuesday of November, where the selected student, along with their parents and a faculty advisor, will be guests of the Rotary Club for lunch.
This recognition not only celebrates academic achievement but also fosters community engagement and motivation among students at Red Bluff High. With such honors, the Rotary Club aims to inspire the next generation to strive for excellence both in and out of the classroom.
Stay tuned for more updates and developments from the Red Bluff Rotary Club as they continue to recognize and celebrate outstanding students in the community.
