UPDATE: Fans of Bob Marley can now celebrate the reggae legend in a groundbreaking way as the Rolling Stone Bob Marley Keepsake Premiere Edition launches today. This extraordinary collectible card collection features 250 unique designs and over 13,000 cards total, showcasing Marley at various stages of his iconic career.

This limited edition release includes six distinct card treatments: Rainbow (99 cards), Swirl (75), Ice (50), Sheen (25), Fireworks (10), and a one-of-one Vinyl card. Some of the rarest cards are enhanced with gemstones and precious metals, including diamonds and gold. Additionally, the collection features museum-worthy relics from Marley’s estate, such as a piece of the piano used during his final performances on the 1980 Uprising tour with the Wailers.

Collectors will have the chance to obtain one of three ultra-rare cards depicting Marley on the cover of Rolling Stone, photographed by the legendary Anne Leibovitz.

Fans can preorder the Single Box for $100 or opt for a curated Master Case for $600. The master cases are limited to just 500 units and come in an elegantly crafted wooden display case that includes guaranteed cards of both a Rolling Stone cover and a Bob Marley piano card.

“This collection honors my father’s legacy in a way that’s never been done,” said Cedella Marley, CEO of the Bob Marley Group of Companies. “From rare relics to iconic imagery, this launch is for the collectors, the fans, and the next generation of storytellers.”

Marley, who passed away in 1981, transformed reggae music and remains a cultural icon. His songs like “No Woman, No Cry” and “Get Up Stand Up” are considered foundational to the genre, driving reggae from the streets of Jamaica to global acclaim. Rolling Stone first featured Marley on its cover in 1976, highlighting his significant impact on music history.

As the demand for Marley collectibles surges, the market has seen auction sales of items such as a notebook with handwritten lyrics fetching as much as $72,000. The previous Jimi Hendrix Keepsake Premiere Edition released by Rolling Stone sold out rapidly, underscoring the urgency for collectors to act fast.

In an exciting twist, Rolling Stone will host a live stream on Fanatics Live on December 17, 2023, with all proceeds benefiting the Bob Marley Foundation. This event promises to be a historic moment for fans and collectors alike.

With these rare items now available, Marley enthusiasts and card collectors are encouraged to secure a piece of history while supplies last. Don’t miss this chance to own a unique tribute to one of music’s most enduring legends.
