Rain and Fog Expected Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth Area
URGENT UPDATE: The Dallas-Fort Worth area is bracing for potential rain and patchy fog on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, as cloudy skies persist across North Texas. While most residents within the metroplex are unlikely to see rain, scattered showers are anticipated to affect areas around Waco and Palestine, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

Overnight lows will be significantly above normal, reaching 55°F, which is 18 degrees warmer than the typical mid-December temperatures. However, a cold front is set to arrive Thursday evening, which will drop nighttime temperatures closer to seasonal averages.
For Wednesday, the forecast indicates partly sunny conditions with a low of 49°F and a high of 66°F. Winds will come from the south at 5-10 mph.
Looking ahead, Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, breezy, and pleasant, with a low of 57°F and a high of 68°F. Winds will shift to the north at 10-20 mph, bringing a refreshing change.
Friday will continue the pleasant trend with mostly sunny skies and a low of 38°F, reaching a high of 63°F. By Saturday, temperatures will rise again, with a high of 77°F expected under mostly sunny skies.
Residents are advised to stay updated on changing weather conditions as the week progresses, especially with the anticipated cold front.
This weather alert serves as a reminder to remain cautious during the morning commute, particularly for those traveling north and south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area where fog may be present.
