Park Na Rae’s Alleged Embezzlement Sparks Controversy, Comments Resurface
UPDATE: Major allegations are surfacing against South Korean comedian and actress Park Na Rae, as she faces accusations of transferring approximately ₩300 million KRW (about $204,000 USD) to her ex-boyfriend from a company account. This news comes amid a storm of claims regarding her management practices.
On December 3, two former managers of Park Na Rae revealed shocking allegations of power abuse, including aggravated injury and verbal abuse, alongside claims of embezzlement and illegal medical practices. Just three days later, on December 6, reports indicated that Park, who reportedly heads a one-person agency, may have siphoned company funds to pay her ex-boyfriend and mother for work that was never performed.
According to these reports, Park allegedly registered her ex-boyfriend as an official employee and paid him ₩44.0 million KRW (around $29,900 USD) over 11 months. Additionally, she reportedly paid her mother ₩55.0 million KRW (about $37,400 USD) despite her having no actual duties.
The controversy has reignited interest in Park’s past comments from Channel A’s Oh Eun Young’s Golden Counseling Center, where she candidly discussed her relationships. Park mentioned that she often dated men perceived to be “out of her league,” adding, “There’s never been a boyfriend who hasn’t been asked… ‘What do you like about Na Rae?’”
In a revealing moment, Park acknowledged the skepticism surrounding her relationships, stating, “Many think that way,” referencing comments about her financial status.
Concerns from her friends also emerged, particularly from comedian Kian84, who expressed doubts about two of her ex-boyfriends during a YouTube segment last August, hinting that they may have ulterior motives related to her finances.
