The suspect, identified as Edynesson Bauduy, was struck by police gunfire and transported to Kings County Hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition. Giordano emphasized the serious implications of Bauduy’s early release. “If he had received a consecutive sentence for his two distinct violent crimes, he would not be out on the streets right now,” Giordano stated. “This is a person who has repeatedly shrugged off the consequences of his actions.”
The second suspect in the gunfight fled toward Church Avenue, and the police are actively searching for him. Officers recovered one gun and several shell casings from the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
