URGENT UPDATE: One of North Devon’s largest holiday parks, Golden Coast Holiday Park in Woolacombe, has just been sold to Vale Holiday Parks, a family-owned company based in Wales. This acquisition marks the park’s second ownership change in less than four years, following its purchase by Verdant Leisure in January 2022.

This significant transaction was announced on Christmas Eve, highlighting Vale Holiday Parks’ commitment to enhancing this popular family destination. Located on Station Road, Golden Coast offers a variety of accommodation options alongside an expansive entertainment complex. The park features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a wave surfer, a high ropes course, and numerous sports activities, making it a favorite for holidaymakers.

Director of Vale Holiday Parks, Thomas Scarrott, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Golden Coast Holiday Park into the Vale family. This park has been a much-loved destination for generations, and we’re honoured to carry that legacy forward.” Scarrott emphasized Vale’s dedication to investing in facilities to create even more unforgettable experiences for guests.

Vale Holiday Parks, which operates over a dozen locations across Wales and the South West, has a strong reputation built over 40 years for maintaining welcoming and well-managed parks. The company plans to implement substantial improvements at Golden Coast, ensuring it remains a vibrant, family-focused destination.

WHAT’S NEXT: Vale Holiday Parks is set to begin its enhancement plans soon, with the aim of welcoming both new and returning guests in 2026. As the transformation unfolds, community members and visitors alike are eager to see how this beloved park will evolve under new management.

This acquisition not only signifies a new chapter for Golden Coast but also reinforces the importance of local tourism in North Devon. The park’s rich history and potential for future growth make it a key player in the region’s hospitality landscape.
