New Pavilion Opens on George Foreman’s Ranch for Public Events

BREAKING: The new Ti Kaye Joan Pavilion at George Foreman’s ranch in Harrison County officially opened to the public today, offering a unique venue for gatherings and events. The Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce celebrated this milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 733 Blocker Road, marking a significant addition to the local community.
Chamber Director Stacia Runnels described the pavilion as an “amazing respite,” emphasizing its rich history as a cherished family retreat. “We just want to introduce you to this amazing respite — a place of peace and memories,” she stated during the event.
Foreman’s niece, Jojetta Steptoe, shared heartfelt memories of family gatherings at the ranch, highlighting how it was built for families to come together. “Everything was about family,” she said, reflecting on the legacy of the legendary boxer who passed away in March.
The venue features five cabins, making it ideal for weddings, family reunions, and special events. Steptoe noted, “Anyone that’s looking for a place to just gather, especially if you have a big family, this place is perfect.” Attendees can enjoy both communal spaces and private retreats, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
Mary Foreman, the owner of the ranch and George’s wife, reminisced about the peaceful moments they shared at the property. Wearing her late husband’s straw hat, she recalled evenings spent by the fire and fishing at the pond. “It’s been really a peaceful place for him, and I think he would love to share it,” she expressed, inviting the public to create new memories at the site.
Runnels praised the Foreman family’s commitment to transforming the ranch into a public venue, revealing their efforts in planting trees and preparing the landscape. “The family has worked hard, engaging local vendors to bring this vision to life,” she noted.
The opening of the Ti Kaye Joan Pavilion not only pays tribute to George Foreman’s legacy but also strengthens community ties in Harrison County. Runnels reflected on a cherished memory from the Chamber’s 100th anniversary banquet in 2019, when Foreman, as keynote speaker, lit up the room with his genuine kindness. “We were so thankful he could be a part of our story,” she added.
