Motorcyclist Injured After High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash
URGENT UPDATE: A motorcyclist has suffered minor injuries after being pinned under a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office vehicle following a high-speed police chase that unfolded late Saturday night. The incident occurred at approximately 10:36 PM on October 14, 2023, at a traffic checkpoint on the intersection of Old Beatty Ford Road and China Grove.
Authorities confirm that the checkpoint was established in response to numerous citizen complaints regarding traffic violations in the area. As deputies signaled for the two motorcyclists to stop, both fled the scene, leading to a dangerous pursuit.
