UPDATE: The New York Mets are set to honor the iconic 60th anniversary of The Beatles’ groundbreaking performance at Shea Stadium with a special event, The Beatles Night, on August 15 at Citi Field. This celebration marks the first time a rock band performed a major stadium concert, a pivotal moment in music history.

As part of the festivities, the Mets will host the Seattle Mariners and kick off the evening with a live performance from 1964 The Tribute at 6:15 p.m. ET in front of Shea Bridge. The first 15,000 fans entering Citi Field will receive an exclusive Shea Stadium replica, making this event a must-attend for music and baseball fans alike.

The first pitch will be thrown by members of the game-day staff who were present during The Beatles’ legendary 1965 concert. A spectacular themed fireworks show will cap off the night, providing a thrilling finale to this nostalgic celebration.
