UPDATE: The chilling holiday event “A Twisted Christmas” is back at the Lincoln Mill Haunted House in Manayunk, promising a frightful experience on December 12 and 13 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM each night. This immersive attraction combines the joy of Christmas with a spine-tingling twist, offering thrills for those seeking an alternative to traditional holiday festivities.

Lincoln Mill co-founder Jared Bilsak stated, “We wanted to continue telling the Lincoln Mill story throughout the holiday season.” This year’s event will feature over 50 fright actors, enhancing the eerie atmosphere as guests navigate through a nightmarish winter wonderland.

The story unfolds around the malevolent mill owner, Viktor Kane, who haunts the mill, believing his workers morphed into sinister elves and winter creatures during the 1930s. The haunted journey begins with guests descending into the mill’s basement via a freight elevator, setting the stage for a truly chilling experience.

Bilsak emphasized the uniqueness of this event: “We always thought it would be interesting to mesh together our two favorite holidays, Christmas and Halloween.” The interior has been transformed with festive decorations, including Christmas lights, tinsel, and trees, all overlaid on the haunting sets, creating a stark contrast that is sure to captivate attendees.

Tickets for “A Twisted Christmas” are available now at lincolnmillhaunt.com. Bilsak noted that excitement has been building around this holiday event since they floated the idea last fall. “Offering a Christmas-themed event was always a part of the plan,” he said, indicating a strategic move to appeal to audiences seeking fresh seasonal experiences.

This year, the haunted house has undergone significant upgrades, including new scenic effects and expanded space, ensuring that returning guests will encounter a different experience each time. The soundtrack, lighting, and character presentations are tailored to enhance the holiday theme while maintaining the attraction’s signature scare factor.

In addition to “A Twisted Christmas,” the Lincoln Mill Haunted House is set to host a special Valentine’s Day event titled “Viktor’s Valentine” on February 13 and 14, along with a St. Patrick’s Day event on March 14.

This captivating blend of holiday cheer and horror offers an exciting alternative for those looking to celebrate in a distinctive way.
