BREAKING: Leaven Kids has raised an astounding $500,000 at its annual fundraising gala, held on October 22, 2023, at the Bally Keal Estate in Fairfield. This event attracted 300 business leaders, community partners, and supporters dedicated to enhancing early childhood education.

“Leaven Kids has made tremendous progress over the last twelve months, none of which would be possible without the generous support of our community partners,” stated Mark Lillis, Chief Executive Officer of Leaven Kids. The funds raised will significantly impact young lives, ensuring that all students, regardless of their background, gain access to essential educational resources.

The gala, Leaven Kids’ largest fundraising event, featured a formal dinner, a live auction, and an inspiring performance by the music group Mosaic, energizing the audience with a message of community and hope. Keynote speaker Jim Tressel, Ohio’s Lieutenant Governor and former head football coach at Ohio State, emphasized the critical role of education in creating opportunities for underserved children.

“We are paving the way for community transformation and hope,” Tressel asserted during his address, reinforcing the evening’s theme centered around educational equity.

In a highlight of the night, the Mayor Harry T. Price Achievement Award was presented to Seven Flags Car Wash for its exceptional commitment to youth educational development in Solano County. The award was accepted by Jack Anthony, President of Seven Flags Car Wash, who stated, “This recognition reflects our long-held belief that business is more than profits and margins – it is about serving our local community.”

Seven Flags Car Wash, a locally owned family business operating for 60 years, has consistently supported charitable causes, including Leaven Kids, showcasing its dedication to investing in future generations.

This year’s gala not only raised critical funds but also united the community in support of educational initiatives that promise to shape the futures of countless children. With donations from local businesses and the unwavering support of community members, Leaven Kids looks forward to expanding its after-school programming and mentorship services.

As the night concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose: to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed. The impact of this event resonates far beyond the evening, promising ongoing support and resources for the youth in the community.

Stay tuned for further updates on how these funds will be utilized to enhance educational opportunities for children in need.
