Lamson led her undefeated team with 17 points, sealing her historic achievement with a crucial basket in the final minutes.

The game took place at Gorham High School, where Lamson entered needing just 16 points to reach the milestone. Her determination shone through as she hit her milestone shot with less than two minutes remaining, adding to the excitement of an already tense game. Despite a spirited comeback from Gorham, who narrowed a 12-point halftime deficit, they could not overcome the No. 1 ranked team in the Varsity Maine poll.

In addition to Lamson’s standout performance, Kristin King contributed significantly to the win with 11 points. Meanwhile, Gorham’s Madison Milligan led her team with 12 points, including four 3-pointers, while Logan Doughty and Winni Moreland added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

In other girls’ basketball action, the Marshwood Hawks defeated the Portland Bulldogs 44-34, with Isabelle Tice scoring 21 points, including a dominant first-quarter performance. The Oak Hill Raiders triumphed over Waynflete 51-31, led by Jillian Smith with 12 points.

On the boys’ side, the Biddeford Tigers took down Noble 49-34, thanks to a stellar game from Ernie Dore, who scored 21 points. In a nail-biter, Lisbon edged past Sacopee Valley 65-64, staging a remarkable comeback with Owen Hurd contributing 20 points.

In Monday’s thrilling girls’ hockey showdown, the Biddeford Co-op triumphed over Brunswick 3-2, with Sophia Auger netting the game-winner just three seconds before the final buzzer.
