UPDATE: Kingsway High School has just clinched a dramatic victory over Toms River East with a final score of 47-21 during the championship match of the Dan Trainer Duals in Collingswood, NJ. This thrilling comeback unfolded on January 16, 2025, as Kingsway erased a six-point deficit in the final matches.

The match took a pivotal turn when Kingsway, led by head coach Mike Barikian, showcased incredible resilience. After falling behind 21-15 following a 9-3 decision by Toms River’s Damian Vonderlinden against Jayden Watson at 144 pounds, Kingsway responded with a powerful finish.

In a stunning display, Kingsway secured four consecutive pins in the last six bouts. Notably, Ryan Glenn, Ashton Ford, and Matthew Miranda delivered the critical pins that propelled Kingsway ahead 33-21. This decisive momentum shift set the stage for Gabe Eisenhart to follow up with a technical fall at 175 pounds, and Jamar Greaves capped off the victory with a swift pin at 190 pounds. The match concluded with Chris Owen winning by decision at 215 pounds.
