Kansas State Parks Annual Permits & Campsites Open Dec. 1
UPDATE: Kansas State Parks are set to launch their annual permits and campsite reservations starting December 1, 2023. This is a crucial opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to secure their plans for 2026, including camping under the stars and enjoying nature’s beauty.
Kansas State Parks Director Conner O’Flannagan emphasizes the importance of these permits, stating, “Kansas State Parks are where family memories are made.” With the holiday season approaching, now is the perfect time to consider giving the gift of outdoor adventure to loved ones.
Beginning on December 1, visitors can purchase annual vehicle permits, offering unlimited access to all Kansas State Parks from January 1 through December 31, 2026. The cost is just $25 for standard permits, with a reduced rate of $13.75 for senior and disabled Kansas residents.
Additionally, for those planning extended stays, the annual camping permits will cover all daily camping fees from January 1 through December 31, 2026. Early birds can secure these permits for $202.50 if purchased before April 1 or after September 30. Prices increase to $252.50 if purchased between these dates.
14-night camping permits are also available for $112.50, providing a great option for campers looking for longer stays. However, it’s important to note that these permits do not cover additional utility fees, which still apply, and valid state park vehicle permits are required.
