UPDATE: The much-anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua is officially scheduled for December 19, despite swirling rumors of potential match-fixing. This latest development comes after a notable delay and a series of aggressive promotional tactics from Paul, heightening excitement for this clash.

In a decisive response to the fix allegations, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn categorically denied these claims, calling them “completely illegal.” Speaking in an interview with iFL TV, Hearn emphasized the seriousness of these rumors, saying, “It’s a sanctioned fight where people can place bets on the fight. It’s completely illegal to have any kind of script.”

Hearn humorously dismissed the notion of a scripted fight while laying out his vision for the match: “The bell’s going to go. AJ’s going to go out, take the middle of the ring, and he’s going to unload the heaviest artillery on Jake Paul’s chin he can as quickly as possible, and he’s going to knock him spark out.” He added that anyone expecting a predetermined outcome will be in for a surprise on fight night.

This is not the first time Hearn has addressed the “fixed” fight rumors. He reiterated his stance, stating, “By the way, just make one thing very, very, very clear. This whole, ‘Oh well if it’s scripted’ – please stop with that bullsh*t. This is a professional sanctioned contest.”

Adding to the rebuttal, Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, also dismissed the allegations, attributing the conspiracy theories to Paul’s rapid rise in the boxing world. As the fight date approaches, the buzz continues to grow, with fans eager to see whether the social media star can hold his ground against the seasoned heavyweight champion.

With just days until the match, the boxing community is poised for a showdown that promises to deliver both excitement and unpredictability. As December 19 draws near, fans are urged to stay tuned for updates and to witness firsthand the unfolding drama in the ring.
