Human Remains of Missing Tamaqua Man Found After 8 Years
BREAKING: Authorities have confirmed the recovery of human remains belonging to Jesse Lee Farber, a man missing since August 11, 2015. State police at Frackville announced that the remains were found on or around July 13, 2023, by a group of ATV riders in Walker Township.
The shocking discovery has sent ripples through the community, as Farber’s family has waited nearly eight years for answers. Farber was just 29 years old when he disappeared, last seen walking towards Tamaqua while carrying a backpack.
Initial reports indicate that human remains were discovered along an ATV path, leading to further searches by police, which uncovered additional remains. The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office and the Northeast Search and Rescue canine team have been involved in the investigation, which is ongoing.
In an emotional twist, Farber’s girlfriend at the time, Rachel Carroll, shared chilling details from their last phone call. During that brief 40-second conversation, he expressed fear, stating that he was being chased by coyotes and was lost in the woods behind Tamaqua Area High School. The call abruptly ended when his signal dropped due to a low battery.
The search for answers continues as police urge anyone with relevant information to contact Trooper Seiler at 570-874-5300. This heartbreaking case has reignited interest, with many hoping for closure for Farber’s family and loved ones.
