Glen Powell Reveals Embarrassing Wardrobe Malfunction on Set
UPDATE: Glen Powell has opened up about a cringe-worthy wardrobe malfunction he faced while filming his upcoming action thriller, The Running Man. In a recent interview on Entertainment Tonight, the star shared how an unexpected exposure occurred during a stunt that left him regretting his clothing choices.
During a round-table discussion alongside co-stars Josh Brolin and Lee Pace, Powell disclosed the intimate mishap while performing a stunt that involved rappelling down a building. “I’m wearing a pouch under, and then I’m wearing a towel around it,” he explained. “But then you’re rappelling down a building and you see a window. You don’t realize there’s people in there lighting and doing electric.”
The incident unfolded on set in Bulgaria as they filmed in February, with Powell humorously adding, “I regretted agreeing to it.” The discomfort was compounded by the cold conditions, as he had originally accepted the scene when it was summer. “Being in a towel in front of a crew is one thing, but being in a towel in February in frigid Bulgaria, it’s a sight,” he noted.
Brolin, quick with a joke, teased Powell, saying that the crew would have been “watching [him] come down frontally,” even mimicking his posture to the amusement of everyone present.
The Golden Globe Award nominee’s candid comments highlight the often humorous and challenging realities of filming in extreme conditions.
Directed by Edgar Wright, The Running Man is set to hit US theaters on November 14, 2025. Keep an eye out for more updates as the release date approaches, and don’t miss Powell’s hilarious recounting of this unforgettable moment.
