URGENT UPDATE: Sales expert Sara Uy has just revealed crucial strategies for Gen Z salespeople struggling with rejection. As the founder of SellingSara, Uy emphasizes that these young professionals often face significant challenges in the competitive sales landscape, particularly in the wake of COVID-19 disruptions.

In an exclusive interview, Uy, 28, shared her insights on how Gen Z can thrive in sales roles, particularly at entry-level positions often filled by recent graduates. “Our generation can be a little soft when it comes to facing rejection,” Uy stated. “Sales is an emotional roller coaster, and many quit during tough periods, missing out on potential success.”

Uy’s journey began at Pareto USA, where she quickly climbed the ranks from recruitment to sales director in just five years. During the pandemic, she turned to TikTok to share live cold-calling experiences, resonating with many in similar situations. “I realized there were a lot of people in the same boat,” she explained.

Her company, SellingSara, launched just 11 months ago, focusing on delivering practical sales techniques to teams, particularly those with a high proportion of Gen Z members. “My workshops are 60 minutes of actionable advice—less methodology, more results,” Uy noted.

She urges young sales professionals to adopt three key strategies to overcome rejection:

1. **Establish a Routine**: “Find a morning routine that sets you up for success. For me, it’s working out and making coffee,” she says. This helps shift the mindset and tackle daunting tasks.

2. **Create Work-Life Separation**: Uy recommends activities that allow for a mental break from work, such as reading on a Kindle. “It’s refreshing to detach from social media and work thoughts,” she added.

3. **Seek Mentorship**: Uy stresses the importance of connecting with top performers in your sales team. “Ask for advice and listen to successful reps. There are countless resources available, from LinkedIn influencers to sales books,” she emphasized.

Uy’s insights come at a critical time as companies increasingly rely on effective sales strategies to recover from pandemic-related setbacks. As competition heats up, these strategies could mean the difference between success and failure for Gen Z in the sales arena.

With her innovative approach and relatable experiences, Uy is not just educating but also empowering a generation to succeed. Her message resonates strongly: persistence pays off, and with the right tools, overcoming rejection is not only possible but can lead to substantial rewards.

For sales professionals and aspiring salespeople, staying informed and adapting to these strategies could be the key to unlocking greater success in their careers.

Stay tuned for more updates as Uy continues to share her expertise and insights on navigating the complex world of sales.
