Funeral Services for Gwendolyn Walker Set for August 23
URGENT UPDATE: Funeral services for beloved community member Gwendolyn Walker are scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 12 PM at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church. This follows the passing of Mrs. Walker, who left us on August 17, 2025, at the age of 80.
Friends and family will be able to pay their respects during a viewing on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM at the Peoples Legacy Annex. The service will include the Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony, taking place from 6:30 PM to 7 PM, further honoring her remarkable life.
Mrs. Walker was born on June 8, 1945, and her legacy will be celebrated not just at the funeral, but also during her interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery after the service.
