UPDATE: The fourth annual Cave Spring Pickle Festival and Quilt Show is currently underway, captivating thousands of visitors at Rolater Park this weekend. With its catchy slogan, “Just Dill With It!”, the festival has already exceeded expectations, drawing in significant crowds for the two-day event that runs through October 14, 2023.

Organized by the Cave Spring Historical Society, the festival features an impressive lineup of 100 arts and crafts and food vendors, a limit reached as early as August. Attendees are indulging in a variety of pickle offerings, including gourmet relishes from the award-winning vendor Damn is That a Pickle, known for its unique flavors like mango and green apple.

In addition to pickle tastings, the festival includes fun for the whole family, with inflatables for kids, a Halloween costume contest, and live music performances. Saturday’s entertainment featured local favorites such as Danger Teague Music and Bettin’ On The Mule, while Sunday’s lineup includes JD Pinkus and Blyss, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the event.

Festival-goers are also treated to culinary delights such as pickle cupcakes and pickle bread from Cold Springs Farm, award-winning pickle cinnamon rolls from Susan’s Sweet Shop, and mouthwatering dill pickle funnel cakes from Mrs. Patty’s Kitchen. The variety of offerings encourages attendees to step out of their comfort zones and try something new.

For those seeking a quieter experience, dozens of stunning handmade quilts are on display inside the nearby historic church, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling festival.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Cave Spring Historical Society, which is dedicated to preserving the area’s historic buildings, including the Presbyterian Church and the Vann Cherokee Cabin in downtown Cave Spring.

As the festival continues to unfold, visitors are encouraged to share their experiences and favorite pickle dishes on social media, adding to the event’s vibrant community spirit. Don’t miss out on this exciting celebration of creativity, culture, and, of course, pickles!
