BREAKING: Two Arrested in West Kelowna Drug Bust Today
URGENT UPDATE: Two individuals have been arrested today, October 27, 2023, as part of a significant drug trafficking investigation in West Kelowna. The West Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Rutland Road, uncovering a stash of “various controlled substances, cash, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking activities.”
The operation took place in direct response to growing community concerns regarding safety, as the targeted property is located directly across from Rutland Middle School. “The residence had been identified as a problem property,” stated Cpl Achtymichuk. “We have received overwhelming support from local residents who expressed their appreciation for our presence and actions.”
Today’s arrests follow a previous operation on December 11, when authorities executed a search warrant at another property on Scott Crescent as part of the same investigation. The police urge the public to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking or illegal weapons, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance.
This developing situation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related crimes and enhance public safety in the area. As the investigation continues, residents are encouraged to remain alert and report any further information to the authorities.
