BREAKING: An alarming report reveals that an anti-Israel group’s website is offering bounties up to $100,000 for the murder of Israeli academics globally. The Punishment for Justice Movement has publicly named specific targets and posted their personal information, including home addresses and contact details, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The targeted academics are affiliated with prestigious institutions such as Ben-Gurion University, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, the Technion in Haifa, as well as Harvard and Oxford universities. The group, which appears to have originated in the Netherlands, has sparked outrage and calls for action against its activities.

The website, which briefly went offline on Friday before reappearing Saturday, not only posts bounties for killings but also offers $50,000 for other targets, $20,000 to set fire to properties, $5,000 for information, and $1,000 to display protest signs outside the targets’ homes.

The site accuses its victims of being “criminals and collaborators” with Israeli forces, claiming they are involved in actions against Palestinians. The organization warned its targets to cease their “criminal activity,” labeling them as “legitimate targets” after they allegedly ignored these warnings.

Several targeted academics expressed deep concern. One scholar stated, “The competent government agencies should suggest more comprehensive solutions,” emphasizing that the threats endanger not only their lives but also their families. Another target, Michael Bronstein, a computer science professor at Oxford, dismissed the bounty, stating he found it “profoundly disturbing” that his life was valued “so cheaply,” and remarked on the absurdity of the situation.

The Anti-Defamation League has been contacted for comment regarding the situation, which is drawing attention from various sectors, including academic institutions and international human rights organizations.

As this situation develops, authorities are urged to take immediate action to protect those at risk and prevent further escalation of violence against academics. The implications of this threat are profound, not only for the individuals targeted but also for the broader academic community and freedom of expression worldwide.

Stay tuned for updates on this urgent situation as it unfolds.
