27-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Cheerleader Shot at Party
UPDATE: A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder following the critical shooting of Kimber Mills, a senior cheerleader at Cleveland High School, at a party in Jefferson County early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at a gathering in a wooded area known as The Pitt on October 18, 2025, raising urgent concerns in the community.
Authorities report that the shooting unfolded around 12:24 a.m. as multiple attendees were struck by gunfire.
