19-Year-Old Charged in Chicago Double Shooting of Minors

BREAKING: A 19-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder following a tragic double shooting that left a 15-year-old boy dead and a 12-year-old critically injured in Chicago’s Canaryville neighborhood. The incident occurred on July 13, 2023, around 3:45 PM, as the boys were in a vacant lot located in the 600-block of West 47th Street.
According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the boys were engaged in a confrontation with an unknown number of suspects when one of the assailants opened fire.
