Guozi Robotics, a leading provider in smart manufacturing and intelligent logistics, has launched a sophisticated logistics system for the TZ Group at their new factory in Hangzhou, China. This innovative project, announced on July 28, 2025, features nearly 200 robots that automate the entire production process of excavators, marking a significant advancement in the construction machinery sector’s digital transformation.

The newly implemented system addresses longstanding challenges for TZ Group, particularly in handling high-mix, low-volume production. By automating every phase of production—from initial assembly to final shipment—this project significantly enhances operational flexibility and efficiency.

Revolutionizing Production with Robotics

At the heart of this project lies a multi-robot collaborative ecosystem. Guozi Robotics has deployed mobile robot swarms at various production stations, which utilize dynamic path planning for precise material transfers. Complementing these mobile units is a matrix of gantry robots, collaborative robots (cobots), turnover units, and other customized devices that can perform complex operations without the delays typically associated with re-tooling.

Additionally, the project features contact-free power rails that ensure continuous operation around the clock. The system operates on Guozi’s self-developed Line-Side Control System (LCS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which facilitate seamless data integration between the manufacturing floor and plant management. This integration is essential for real-time decision-making and operational efficiency.

Innovative Logistics Management

The logistics framework established by Guozi Robotics employs a three-dimensional distribution network that classifies materials into categories such as large, medium, small, and standard parts. Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), specifically the ANTS lifting AGVs and PICKING multi-layer robots, interact seamlessly with racks, pallets, and bins to optimize material handling.

Guozi’s AI-driven Robotics Control System (RCS) coordinates hundreds of AGVs with centimetre-level precision, allowing for multiple call-for-parts modes and dynamic storage solutions. This integration provides end-to-end visibility from the warehouse to the workstation, ensuring that production lines are consistently supplied with the necessary components.

Proven Success in the Industry

Guozi Robotics has established a strong track record with its heavy-duty robot family, which includes the ANTS and PICKING robots. These systems have already been deployed in leading factories for notable companies such as Zoomlion, XCMG, and Sany. The successful implementation at TZ Group further demonstrates Guozi’s capability to deliver comprehensive, future-ready smart manufacturing and logistics solutions tailored for the construction machinery sector.

As Guozi Robotics continues to innovate and expand its offerings, it remains committed to being a top-tier global mobile robotics company, focusing on advancing cutting-edge robotics technology. This latest project exemplifies the potential of intelligent automation to transform traditional manufacturing processes.
